Convatec welcomes withdrawal of Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs) on skin substitutes
London, UK, 29 December 2025 – The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced on 24 December 2025 that the LCDs for skin substitutes have been fully withdrawn.
Convatec welcomes the decision, which means Medicare patients and their healthcare professionals (HCPs) across the United States, can continue to benefit from all InnovaMatrix® products, which have generated strong user feedback and clinical evidence.
Convatec’s statement published on 16 December 2025 confirmed no change to our guidance and that our randomised controlled trials are on track to publish in 2026.
