Our suppliers are central to our success, helping us to ensure that we can support patients with chronic conditions and deliver our forever caring promise to our customers.

Every day, our Procurement and Supply Chain teams ensure we can deliver quality products at the right time and right cost. We rely on our relationships with partners to help us achieve this. We work with best-in-class partners who can provide the products, materials, components, and services we need.

Equally important is our commitment to responsible, ethical, and compliant business practices which extends to everyone in our global supply chain. We believe our suppliers are an extension of Convatec and expect no less from them than we do from ourselves.

We are embedding world class systems like EcoVadis and Sedex to help drive progress and monitor performance. To ensure best in class human rights and labour practices throughout the supply chain, our key suppliers are required to complete a Sedex self-assessment questionnaire (SAQ) at locations that manufacture Convatec products, raw materials or store our goods. Our process does not stop at the SAQ, suppliers identified as high risk are expected to complete a Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA).

To drive sustainability improvements through our supply chain, we require our key suppliers to complete an EcoVadis assessment with the expectation that they score above our minimum accepted threshold. Our process of reviewing scorecards and driving corrective actions through EcoVadis enables suppliers to improve their own sustainability performance.

The journey to net zero can only be achieved with a united value chain all striving for the same outcome. We expect our suppliers to monitor and reduce their environmental impact, whilst sharing primary level data with us to help measure and reduce our Scope 3 emissions. In 2023, we set a new target to ensure that suppliers covering 60% of our Scope 3 category 1 emissions have committed to set science-based targets by Q4 26. This will ensure the entire supply chain are reducing their emissions in line with the Paris Agreement.
