Convatec appoints Dave Ubachs as Chief Digital & Information Officer

• Appointment elevates Digital & AI leadership to the Convatec Executive Leadership Team as the company continues to deliver its Accelerate strategy
  

London, UK, 14 August 2026 – Convatec, a leading medical products and technologies company focused on solutions for the management of chronic conditions, today announced the appointment of Dave Ubachs as Chief Digital & Information Officer, effective 1 September 2026. Dave will join the Convatec Executive Leadership Team.

The appointment reflects the increasing strategic importance of digital, data and AI to Convatec’s next phase of growth. In the role, Dave will lead Convatec’s Digital & AI function, shaping how the company uses technology, data and AI to support its Accelerate strategy, strengthen enterprise capabilities, improve customer and patient engagement, and help colleagues work more effectively.

Dave brings more than 30 years of international leadership experience across technology, digital transformation, data, analytics and AI. Most recently, he served as Group CIO & Chief Data Officer at Edenred, a digital platform for services and payments connecting 60 million users, where he led a global technology, digital and data organisation of around 3,000 colleagues across 45 countries.

Prior to Edenred, Dave held senior leadership roles at Staples International, Ipsos and Procter & Gamble, building a strong track record in technology modernisation, large-scale transformation, cyber resilience and data-led commercial value creation. His earlier experience at Procter & Gamble included technology leadership across manufacturing, clinical trials and healthcare businesses, giving him directly relevant experience for Convatec’s operating environment.

With this appointment, Angie Goodwin will be leaving Convatec at the end of September following a transition period. Convatec thanks Angie for her significant contribution since joining the company in May 2023, including helping to strengthen its technology foundations, modernise and stabilise key IT platforms, build organisational capabilities including AI, and reduce reliance on third-party providers.
